“We got picked up early in the morning in Nairobi for our 2-day Masai Mara safari during the great migration. Every went well en the communication with the tour operator was very good. When we arrived at the accommodation we got lunch and after lunch we checked in for our tent. The tent was pretty decent and you have your own bathroom which is pretty descent for a budget tour. After checking in and relaxing for a bit we went for our first game drive in the Masai Mara, it was amazing, everywhere you looked you saw herds of wildebeests, loads of zebra's, impala's, some elephants, buffalo's, Lions and a lot of other animals. When we came back at the accommodation we found out that on the 2-day tour we only had a few hours on the second game drive the next day and that we wouldn't go to the iconic river the next day so we asked our driver Okindo if we could extend our safari by one more day. He immediately started calling the office and everything was arranged very quickly because of the great communication. The next day we had a very early breakfast and after that we left the accommodation to go on our second game drive, again we saw the most amazing sightings of animals. Everywhere you looked there were so many big herds of Wildebeests with zebra's, we also saw loads of giraffes, impala's, hartebeests, elephants, lions. At the end of the morning we went to see hippo's and crocodiles at a river and after that we had lunch. After lunch we went to the river to hopefully see the migration cross the river, but after waiting for a total of more than a hour we decided to drive around in the park again because they just didn't cross unfortunately. It's sad that we didn't see the river crossing but it's nature and everything happens on natures terms but in the end I had one of the most impressive experiences of my life! Okindo was a great tour guide with a lot of experience. He tried to make sure that everybody had the best time possible. He did amazing and the future groups that he has to guide are lucky having him as their guide.”
