“A fantastic 8-day Sossusvlei/Swakop/Twyfelfontein/Etosha camping tour with Discovery Safari & Tours guide Lukas. He is a single-man orchestra - a brilliant chaffeur, chef & guide! Very knowledgeable helping us better appreciate the local culture, history and nature. He is also eagle-eyed - we would have missed half the animals in Etosha without him pointing them out! The office team was very helpful too - highly recommend the company. The itinerary of the tour was quite chill in the first part of the trip. It suited us, but if short in time, would consider dropping one of the nights in Sossus/Swakop. We wanted to learn more about the lifestyle of nomadic tribes and chose an 8-day tour, including a visit to the Damaraland living museum and Himba village. Yet it felt awkward and commercialised with people "performing" for tourists (no role in it by Discovery S&T, these were third party sites we visited enroute). Campsites (Solitaire in Sossus, Toshari in Etosha, Sandcastle apartments in Swakop) were nice, clean with good quality shared facilities. Only one - Aabadi campsite near Twyfel - felt poorly maintained and would recommend choosing alternative sites if possible. Overall, highly recommend and would definitely use Discovery S&T again!”
