An authenic experience in a life time I spent 9 days in Algeria over ramadan period. I wanted to see the desert and old villages. Unfortunately, my original tour was cancelled, I was looking for alternative. Luckily, I found Issalam from Ghardaia Tours. He is amazing and patience! He was able to pull together a 2 days tour for me in last minute especially during the ramadan period when many places were closed and many drivers were not available. Issalam took me to old villages on the first day and he explained the M’zab culture and buildings in detail, then we drove to Sebseb, the desert! We drove and slided down the sand dune! It was so much fun! He took me to an old souk, explained how women made carpets and took me to see the reservoir for the oasis on second day. The highlight of the trip was breaking the fast with Issalam and Kamel. It was such an authenic and memorable experience I have ever had. Issalam prepared the evening M’zab meal and explained how the process. I was so grateful to have a chance to be part of it. Issalam speaks fluent english, but he also works with guides speak other languages. I would highly recommend to anyone who is planning to visit Ghardaia!

Isslam responded quickly and set up a flexible tour of several ksar in Ghardaia with a chauffeur who knows everyone and guides in each village. He also reserved the maison d’hote Akram which was lovely, great food. Isslam also took us on a walk through the Palmerie explaining the water system. Great outfit!
