“After contacting many agencies around Algeria unsuccessfully, I finally found Ihaket travels. Communication with Mr Abdellah was seamless from beginning to end. He was always available on what’s up and when he wasn’t he communicated that as well! Amazing! Along with the desert tour, hotel and flights, he organized my boarding authorization within few days facilitating the entire visa process. Staff at the Algiers airport were very helpful processing the visa. The desert tour was absolutely fantastic. My guide Yassin was young and spoke excellent English; great sense of humor and very easy going. My driver/chef/mechanic/electrician Mr Sadi was amazing, with so much experience in the area he drove seamlessly throughout any terrain, prepared the most delicious meals with lots of care and made sure I ate more than I needed :D! The whole experience between camping, seeing rock art, drinking tea, joining locals for music by the fire, night photography and climbing sand dunes was an unforgettable adventure! The location being so remote with absolute no distraction it was so relaxing! Everything was very well organized. The camp equipment provided was clean, in great conditions and comfortable. Ihaket travels also have a home base by the airport with showers and tent facilities that you can use before the departure, a brilliant idea considering flights are so late! As a solo female traveller, I felt extremely safe and very well taken care! After visiting more than 120 countries this has being one of the best company I had travel with! I can’t wait to come back for more!”
“Excellent service before and during the tour. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit: the dramatic landscape of the desert, the remarkable and numerous ancient engravings and paintings, the excellently prepared fresh-cooked meals, the attention to our comfort in camp, and, most importantly, the openness and warmth of every member of the guiding team. Good communication with Abdellah before the tour to confirm arrangements and customize our program. For our tour we traveled amongst the dunes and rocky outcroppings of the Tadrart Rouge for 5 days. We had the chance to climb mountainous dunes that took 10 times longer to climb than to descend. Eons of erosion have carved caves in the sandstone, many of them decorated with engravings and paintings from ancient residents confirming that 10,000 years ago it was not desert but savanna and filled with giraffes and elephants, and that domesticated animals such as camels and cows were there 5,000 years ago. The Tuaregs have lived in the area for many centuries and have a very strong and distinct culture. Although I loved the food and their colorful robes and headscarves, the music was enthralling. Powered by strong tea and tradition, we were privileged to have a mini concert under the stars each night. The cook played a stringed instrument, an Egyptian oud, which was likely introduced to the area along with Islam centuries ago. The whole experience felt less like a guided tour and more like tagging along with 4 guys on a camping trip. Many thanks to Abas, Hama, Saddam, and Mohammad.”
