We did our customized safari in September 2024 in the Serengeti and Masai Mara and saw the big 5 including the elusive black rhino and about a million wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, elephants during the migration. It was a stunning spectacle of nature. The locations of the Kenya lodges were along the Mara River so we were close to lots of the action. Overall, we added a few extra adventures, did a balloon ride with champagne breakfast (wow, thanks again Mefi. So worth it!), 2 walking safaris, and a night game drive for a stunning starry night and an unforgettable experience. We absolutely loved having our own vehicles with our own guides for the entire safari. Our guides, the safari rock-stars, were the ultimate professionals who made the overall safari experience absolutely unforgettable (kudos to Godfrey, Taga, and William). Our 3 lodges in Tanzania and Kenya were high-end, uncrowded, intimate. Our tents were luxe and private. We were impressed by the staffs’ consistent kindness, cheery vibe, and willingness to pamper us. The dining exceeded our expectations. Real cuisine, gourmet flavors, first class service. Bravo!”
