We recently returned from a long-awaited family trip to Uganda – parents and three daughters – and from the very first moment, Richard was so much more than just our guide. He was there with us from the very beginning, even during the planning stages while we were still at home. He listened carefully to every wish and detail, guided us with patience and professionalism, and when we finally arrived – he welcomed us with such warmth, care, and love that we immediately felt we were in the best hands. Throughout the journey, he made sure every moment was perfect – always with a smile, kindness, and incredible attention to every little detail. We saw breathtaking nature, amazing wildlife, tasted the local flavors, met wonderful people, and experienced the beauty of Ugandan culture – all thanks to his dedication and passion. During the trip I also celebrated my birthday, and Richard created the most magical and unforgettable birthday I could ever imagine. He arranged surprises everywhere we went, made sure people celebrated with me throughout the entire day, and even for several days afterwards I kept receiving thoughtful, heartfelt surprises. It was best birthday ever . He treated our girls like his own – played with them, taught them English, made them laugh, and surrounded them with warmth. By the end of the trip, he truly felt like part of our family. This was far beyond anything we imagined – a journey of a lifetime. “Our recent safari to Uganda offered breathtaking animal sightings and stunning landscapes, truly showcasing the country's natural beauty. However, our enjoyment was significantly impacted by the poor condition and discomfort of the safari truck, which presented safety concerns and made long drives arduous. Additionally, the itinerary's demanding pace, excessive transfer times, and even a hotel accommodation not booked in time for adequate rooms detracted from what should have been a seamless and enjoyable experience. While the wildlife was magnificent, these operational shortcomings left us feeling that the trip did not deliver the value we expected. - Post was edited to reduce to 1 star based on the lack of timely response to feedback, loosing an evening game driving based on the lack of our tour guide communicating with us, and having to share accommodations with all 4 members of our group and not getting a refund on the lack of a room for 2 nights.”
