“My trip to Maasai Mara was hats off the best ! First of all, Steve (Stephen Sayialel) did an absolutely amazing job taking us to and from the Mara. He was an excellent driver and guide, and the fact that he speaks Maasai, the local language made the experience even more special. Truly loved his work 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. The accommodation at Tipilikwani Mara Camp was excellent. Every room had double beds, which ensured everyone in my family was comfortable. We also really appreciated that the camp assigned a security personnel to each cottage. They escorted us safely to dinner at night and early in the mornings when we had game drives, walking us to the restaurant and our vehicle. That level of care made us feel very safe. The food was so, so good. Even my folks ,who usually don’t enjoy soups loved the appetisers, main courses, and desserts. We were assigned one waiter for the entire stay (Alex), and he was incredibly patient and did a fantastic job throughout. The chef, Sammy, would also personally come to our table to check if we were enjoying the meals and ask how he could improve. Such a great guy. The views during breakfast were just amazing. On day two, we saw a giraffe right from our breakfast table, and on day three, a clan of hyenas , which was so cool. Our safaris on both days were breathtaking. We managed to see most of the animals. The only major ones we didn’t spot were lions (the locals joked that they might have gone to visit their other families 😄) we saw the lionesses though, and rhinos, which we were told are very few and rarely seen. One highlight for me was seeing a leopard ,such a big deal! Where I come from, we have totem animals associated with clans, and mine (Talaa) is represented by a leopard. Since they are solitary animals and rarely seen, I truly felt honoured. One small thing that could be improved is the stairs leading up to the accommodation, which may not be ideal for people living with disabilities. Although there are two or three rooms suitable for this, we weren’t able to switch for my mum, but she managed with our support. Lastly and most importantly, thank you so much, Louis from Let's Discover Travel, from the bottom of my heart. Your coordination and attention to detail ensured everything went smoothly. This experience wouldn’t have been possible without your help.”
