My family contracted Prime Safaris for our dream safari to Uganda. From the moment we began speaking with Cate at Prime Uganda, it was clear we were in good hands. Cate worked with us to craft an itinerary that provided daily one-in-lifetime experiences: gorilla tracking, walking safari, channel cruise and more. I don’t think I’ve ever seen *so many animals* in such short time. From the minute we entered Queen Elizabeth National Park, we spotted a leopard, warthogs, elephants, mongooses, hippos and water buffalo. Literally, within 15 minutes of each other! Joseph, our guide, was an absolute masterclass in hospitality. He worked with every ranger, lodge concierge and porter to make sure we, our food, our rooms and our luggage were given the utmost care. He even spoke with the gorilla trackers to assign us to the closest confirmed gorilla family, as my mom was in poor health and otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity to track them with us. In fact, we had to push our trip a full year due to a health scare; Cate was unbelievably kind and respectful of our situation. She worked with the lodges and the government to get all of our deposits applied to the following year, with no money lost despite the cancelled plans. She and Joseph made this trip the best adventure we’ve ever taken. If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and book with Prime Uganda!

We went on a safari tour of 16 people split between three jeeps for 10 days. We got to see so much, Gorillas, Chimps, Hippos, Crocs, Elephants and much more. Aside from this the team of three guides were great in bringing a positive energy morning to evening. We felt safe the entire time and were provided with all necessary information before going on treks, safaris, etc so we were never caught out unprepared. My family was in Tinka's truck. He was an excellent guide and friend for our trip. He always held our best interests first, getting us around safely while having a good laugh. We will all look back fondly at the time we spent on the tour with him. Thanks Tinka
