What people are saying
“We had the best tour with JP! He is knowledgeable and pleasant, our tour with him was one of the highlights of our trip to Namibia. He spotted animals easily, every detail on this tour was planned thoroughly. Most importantly- he drove very safe in the dunes!”
“Our excursion to Sandwich Harbour from Walvis Bay was simply extraordinary, and this was entirely thanks to Martin, our guide for the tour. Because of him, the experience went far beyond anything we could have imagined. From the very beginning, Martin took the time to show us remarkable places along the way: the lagoon with its flamingos, the Walvis Bay salt pans with their deep red waters, almost ruby in colour, as well as numerous carefully chosen stops to observe and better understand the unique environment of the region. Each pause was an opportunity to learn, to observe, and to truly take the time to look. On the way to Sandwich Harbour, Martin also made a detour through the dunes to introduce us to one of Namibia’s “Little Five”: the translucent gecko, a rare and fascinating species perfectly camouflaged beneath the sand. Seeing it in daylight was a real privilege, and his ability to spot it speaks volumes about his impressive knowledge of the terrain. Once at Sandwich Harbour, Martin guided us to spectacular viewpoints, always choosing the right moments and the best spots to avoid the crowds. The experience remained intimate and peaceful, far from large groups, which made the discovery even more enjoyable. Driving through the dunes — some rising several tens of metres high, with the ocean far below — is simply breathtaking. Being in a vehicle navigating through such majestic landscapes is both impressive and unforgettable. Martin also found a perfect spot for a relaxed break in the heart of the desert, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Throughout our tour, he was joyful, deeply passionate about his work, and always eager to share. On the way back, he once again took the time to explain the different types of sand, their colours and properties, and to let us experience a series of small but fascinating demonstrations, both educational and fun. This tour will undoubtedly remain one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. A rich, immersive and perfectly guided adventure, led by an outstanding guide. We feel extremely fortunate to have discovered Sandwich Harbour with Martin and can only warmly recommend him to anyone wishing to experience this adventure in an authentic and truly special way.”
