We went on a full-day tour with Savannah Adventures Safaris to Chobe, including a river safari. The experience itself was wonderful — the wildlife, the guides on the activities, and the overall tour were truly great. However, everything related to payments was a nightmare and completely overshadowed the day. We were unable to pay by credit card, so part of the amount had to be transferred and the rest paid in cash. The initial offer was given in euros, so we brought the correct amount in EUR. Once we arrived, we were suddenly told that they do not accept euros, which forced us to go to an ATM with our tour guide. None of the ATMs worked. We then had to drive back to our hotel to get euros again — only to be told that the amount now needed to be higher than what was originally agreed. We refused, but another person showed up and again insisted that unless we paid extra, we would not be allowed to continue with the river safari. Because the situation became uncomfortable and we had already lost nearly two hours driving around and arguing, we ended up paying. In total, we paid about €150 more than the original offer. We contacted the person we booked the safari with (who was not in Botswana), but he also refused any refund or support. The tour itself was great, but the organization and payment handling were extremely unprofessional and stressful. I would recommend booking with another agent or agency to avoid unnecessary hassle.

We had an outstanding experience with Savannah Adventures during our stay in Victoria Falls. Conveniently based at the N1 Hotel, where we were staying, they made organizing our activities and airport transfers seamless and stress-free. We booked all our excursions through them, and every detail was handled with professionalism and care. The absolute highlight was our extended private Chobe safari—yes, it’s on the pricier side, but worth every penny. From start to finish, the day was unforgettable. Our driver Eddie got us to the border smoothly, and then Richard, our safari guide, took over with incredible energy and expertise. He went above and beyond to make sure we saw as many animals as possible, and his passion for the bush truly made our first safari magical. KK led the water safari portion with equal enthusiasm, rounding out a day that felt both adventurous and personal. We also visited Mukuni Village in Zambia, which was an educational and eye-opening experience, and a chance to learn about traditional Zambian life. Definitely worth the short trip across the border.
